Color and File Format Variations

There are a few different color options and file types available. Please review the descriptions below and choose the file and color option that best fits your use case.

File Options:

  • EPS: This file type is used primarily by outside vendors that need the highest quality logo file available. It can be scaled up to any size without losing quality. Special programs are needed to read the file, so you may not be able open it. There are two EPS color options available: PMS and CMYK.

  • JPEG: This universal file type can be used by most Microsoft applications.

  • PNG: A PNG file is used primarily for digital applications. Unlike a JPEG, a PNG file retains its transparent background. These can be used for most Microsoft applications or online projects that require a transparent background. All PNG files are RGB.

Color Options:

  • PMS: PMS files should be downloaded when using the logo for a one-color printed piece. Examples include promotional items like coffee mugs, embroidered shirts, logo signage, etc.

  • CMYK: This file should be used for multi-color print-jobs like brochures, color advertisements, direct mail, or other printed jobs that feature full color photography or multiple colors.

  • RGB: RGB files are used specifically for digital purposes. This includes web, digital displays, TV broadcast, apps or other digital uses.
